Conductor Training
In conjunction with a leading Class I railroad we have developed TrainMaster Conductor Training on the TrainMaster simulation platform. Currently there are a series of training scenarios for flat yard and industry operations, however these will soon be joined by a hump yard based simulation.
The TrainMaster Conductor Training package gives the trainee a hands-on training experience in a safe and productive environment. It combines a complete simulation of the yard environment and equipment with cost-effective PC-based hardware and a custom controller to facillitate familiarisation with the simulator. Typically 15 minutes is all that's required for a user to start using the simulator properly.
The TrainMaster Conductor Training is usually introduced in the first half of a conductor training program. It augments the overall training program by familiarising the trainee with:
- Switch operation
- Track and Switch lists
- Reporting marks
- Block assignment
- Safety procedures and rules
- Switching strategy and logic
- Hazchem operation and safety
- Yard and Industry switching operations
This training solution is available as an "off-the-shelf" package or we can build your specific yard(s) to also incorporate a familiarisation component into the training program.
